I’ve noticed a few times now, when driving down I-55, that there are some flashing red lights off in the distance that all flash in sync. The light kind of resembles a cell-tower with the red blinking on and off. But there are hundreds of these lights in close proximity to each other, and they all turn on and off at exactly the same time, so I’ve ruled out cell towers. These are most prominent in central Illinois on I-55, most notably when approaching Bloomington/Normal from the north.

I was bored one night last summer, so I decided to make a light show. So at 4 in the morning, I started programing. I had just gotten this song, and thought that the music and lyrics would flow perfectly if matched with the lights. I finally just got around to finishing it, as I haven’t had my lights set up in quite awhile. I think it turned out decently though. Note-In the beginning the lights don’t line directly up with the music. This is because the camera couldn’t quite capture it correctly. Also, most of the strobe light sequences don’t quite get captured as well. I have found some LED flood lights that I think are finally worth buying. They are not the single high power led bulbs, but they really get the job done IMO. These are made by Lights of America. Most of these I have seen online for $20-$30, so I did a little shopping around and found them at Costco for $13!! (Exact same lights). They only use 5 watts per bulb, are heat free and are compared to a 45 watt halogen. They put out just as much light as the 50 watt floods I had in the fixture before. Anybody that has a lot of lights on their property should give these a shot, they will save you some good $ on your electric bill. And they don’t attract bugs!
