Wiring Flood Light?

Sunday, May 24th, 2009
blahblahblksheep asked:

Ok, so I’m replacing a motion sensor light with a regular on/off flood light. The motion light was never hooked up properly, so it never worked properly. My dilemma is since it was hooked up wrong, I now can’t figure out how to properly wire the reg. flood light. On the light itself, there’s the normal Black/white wires on the left side, and black/white on the right side, but coming from the house, there’s 3 sets of black, and 3 sets of white. I wired it how is SHOULD be wired, but then the on/off switch in the house doesn’t work, and the light just stays on. Any suggestions? Pics? Help? Thanks in advance!

Can anyone recommend a good motion flood light?

Sunday, May 10th, 2009
cpuvvada asked:

I bought a Cooper Lighting motion sensitive flood light, but it is complete garbage. It goes off for no reason no matter how much you adjust the sensitivity.

I’m looking for a motion flood light with few false positives. If nocturnal animals set the light off, that’s OK. But it shouldn’t go off because bugs fly by the sensor. It also has to be able to be eave mounted.
Please leave the make and model of any recommended lights.

Halogen Bulb Vs Flood Light Vs Basking Bulb?

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009
soulmusiq25 asked:

I have a Bearded Dragon and im trying to get the temps up of my tank and currently im using a 75 Watt Flood Light but temperatures arent high enough, then i tried one of those 75 Watts Repti Basking Bulbs and still temps werent high enough, so i was wondering if i used a 75 Watt Halogen would they produce more heat than the other two?
Cant the halogen lamp serve as the basking lamp? Since they also provide UVA i already have a separate source for UVB
