Gen. 7:10 “And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.”

The Old Testament contains one other reference to these seven days, i.e. Isaiah 30:26:

“…Moreover, the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days…”

These were seven days of intense light. Were they generated by some major cosmic event within our system? I’m trying to link together the stupid, “everything is too mysterious for us to understand” side of religion with the real world that it exists in.
I mean what the hell do you think caused all that light before the flood happened?

I just recently bought flood lights that is located in the garden (ground level) of my front lawn. These flood lights are positioned in a way that when it rains water may enter the open area where the base meets to point where it gets electricity.

I have decided to wrap the base area with plastic (and elastic bands to keep it secure) but can someone tell me … is that safe to do…it will keep the water out but does the flood lights give off heat at the point of contact and so my wrapping it in plastic would be bad (no heat can escape)?

I have a flood light over my garage. I have it wired with an extension cord to an outlet. When I plug it in at night, it turns on just fine and runs for about 10-20 minutes before it shuts itself off. I think unplug it, and replug it in and it turns back on again for another 10-20 minutes.

I’ve tried this on multiple power outlets. What could possibly be the problem with flood light?
