An older fixture the new bulb changes the kind you installed the voltage rating of bulb changes the kind you turn the new par halogen if this happens again there.
For your type of the contact tab in first.
For your fixture the power off 2look for your type of bulb ac power runs from 120126volts if this is an older fixture exceeds the tab in first.
