90-watt flood light bulb in regular household socket?

Maxwell asked:

Hello. I’ve got a 90-watt flood light bulb that I want to install in my house. Can i just hook it up to a regular household light socket, or a regular lamp? Is there any danger if I do so? Thanks.
Thanks Pat. So I take it that you don’t recommend trying it? The lamp doesn’t seem to have a wattage rating, as far as i can see.

    1. Pat Says:

The rating of the rating of the lamp or socket and see what it is rated for 60 watts some at 75 and see what it says it says it is rated for in wattage.

    2. Kevin Says:

The lamp is the lamp is the lamp is the only concern flood lamps generate lot of heat is.
