Swaying Buildings - Flood Lights - LIVE @ Rics cafe Brisbane, Australia 14 March 2009 www.myspace.com/swayingbuildings Hailing from Brisbane’s southside, the Queensland capital, Australian band Swaying Buildings paint a ringing melodic sound that blends together folk, pop and rock. In 2006 the band self-recorded and released its debut album “Something In My Shoes” on its label Hum & Buzz Records. The album was bravely visionary, rich in reverb, its wall of sound softened by synthesizers, filtered vocals and dreamy chords. The release caught the attention of several promoters in the United States and the band went on to complete a tour of Los Angeles, taking in famed venues such as the Whiskey A Go Go, as well as featuring at the International Pop Overthrow Festival. 2007/08 has seen Swaying Buildings further promote their debut album through continued shows including a slot on Brisbane’s famed Valley Fiesta. The band’s sophomore album is set for release early 2009.
